This policy explains how Viaweb Trading Establishment collects, uses, stores and destroys your personal data when you use viaweb.sa, and what your rights are and how to exercise them, under Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its Implementing Regulations.

What we collect and how
- What you give us directly through the “Send your idea” form: your name, mobile number or email, the text of your idea or request, and the page you sent it from.
- When you contact us on WhatsApp or by email: your number or address and the content of your messages.
- Technical data collected automatically, such as browser, device and pages visited, through cookies and usage-measurement tools. We use an irreversibly hashed IP address to protect the form from abuse and do not store it.
We do not collect payment data through the website and do not ask for sensitive data.
Why we use your data
- To answer your request or idea and prepare a suitable proposal or estimate.
- To contact you about that same request.
- To improve the website and measure its use.
- To protect the website from abuse and automated spam.
We do not use your data for marketing unless you give separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only as needed with service providers acting on our behalf — such as hosting, email and usage-measurement tools — or where the law requires it. Some providers may be located outside Saudi Arabia; in that case we follow the rules on transferring personal data outside the Kingdom.
Retention and destruction
We keep request and idea data for no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case statutory retention periods for contracts and invoices apply. After that we securely destroy the data or de-identify it.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to authorised staff, and backups.
Your rights
- To be informed of how and why your data is collected and processed.
- To access your data and obtain a copy.
- To request correction or updating of your data.
- To request destruction of your data once it is no longer needed.
- To withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email viaweb@viaweb.sa. We may ask you to verify your identity first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) if you believe your data was processed in breach of the law.
